First Lady • Minister • Servant Leader

Minister Yvonne Brock was born and raised in the heart of Detroit, Michigan. A proud product of the Detroit Public School system, she earned her GED and went on to become a licensed cosmetologist. With nearly 30 years in the beauty industry, she has faithfully served her community as a hair care specialist, particularly focusing on children’s hair care with love and excellence. Her spiritual journey began early in life, deeply rooted in the influence of her beloved grandmother, the late Rev. Willie Mae Ross-Kirk, who introduced her to Christ and personally baptized her in the Detroit River. From a young age, she developed a love for church and serving others. After the passing of her mother in 1992, her walk with Christ deepened, and she became a member of Wayside Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Ford. In 1998, she joined Craig Memorial Tabernacle, serving faithfully under the late Rev. Dr. Charles A. Craig III and

Bishop James L. Craig Sr. There, she gave her time and heart to ministry through multiple roles: usher board member and later president, youth department volunteer, janitorial staff, and wherever else help was needed. Her passion for serving God’s house was evident in every task. It was during her service as an usher in March 2007 that she met the love of her life, Pastor Kenneth Brock. The two were married on May 2, 2010, and have beautifully blended their families. Together, they are the proud parents of 10 children and grandparents to 19. Lady Brock treasures family and delights in cooking and hosting holidays—especially Christmas, her favorite time of the year. As First Lady of The New Welcome Missionary Baptist Church,

Minister Yvonne Brock serves alongside her husband in ministry with joy, grace, and unwavering faith. Her roles are many—minister, church administrator, intercessor, choir member, cook, event organizer, and more. Yet, above all, she humbly identifies herself as a servant, always ready to meet the needs of others with a cheerful heart. She often says she is simply “working on her well done”—longing to one day hear the words, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.”
